Congratulations Keith & Avril on having the fabulous Fernlea House chosen to be on Escape to the Country. We know you will be happy in your equally lovely new home.
How exciting! As a previous occupant of Fernlea House (1996-7), and knowing all the work that Keith and Avril have put into it, I think it is a well deserved honour! Hope the move goes well.
OK folks, its not just a rumour! The film crew came to Fernlea on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday last week, and filmed parts of Parwich itself as well as the inside and outside of our house. The presenter was Jules Hudson and the programme’s ‘potential buyer’ – a lieutenant commander in the Royal Navy and his family – also looked at two other properties in rural Derbyshire. The resulting programme will go out possibly in October, possibly in the New Year. If you’re wanting to make an offer for Fernlea House, its not too late !! Thanks for the encouraging messages, Don and Aud, and Liz.
How exciting, Keith and Avril! Do let us know when it is going to be shown, please, as soon as you know. Let’s hope it will be in October rather than the new year, as I imagine by then you will already have sold the house. Good luck, anyway!
