Roads this morning:

The Dale road very treacherous and probably not a sensible option in 2WD although it was probably more tricky going down than up – I  passed one car that had skidded off and been abandoned – just checked there was nobody still in it as the air bags had obviously gone off.

Lower part of the A515 from Mount Pleasant to K&H was dangerous, especially on the hills – compacted slush which had iced over- didn’t look like it had been gritted. North of there through Lean Low was fine – this had been gritted.

Take care on high routes.
