Not knowing what Exmoor 30:30 was, I have just looked it up on-line. It is a fund raising endurance event (see http://www.exmoor3030.org.uk/Exmoor_3030/Home.html ) involving carrying 30 lbs over 30 m or km, for the benefit of th British Legion. Presumably someone local is entering. Whoever it is good luck!
To add to Peter’s comments: Rannoch, Simon Ingham and I with Alison Wainwright from Thorpe and 2 friends (including Alison who will be playing the fiddle) did the event last September but did not manage to do any fundraising before the event. We had a great time despite the mad dash down the M5 on a Friday night, putting our tents up at 11pm and then getting up for a 5am start. Not only did we win the 30km race but we smashed the course record by an hour. Some of us are intending on going back for this year’s event in the hope of regaining the trophy.
I had wondered if there was a Linnell connection. Most impressive local team result, we obviously missed a good blog post last September. All the best for the fundraising (excellent causes) and all the best for this year too.
