Our Weatherman in the Village says:

Apologies for the 2 week absence of weather reports. It looks like our trip to remind the swifts to start their northward journey was well timed, as the UK shivered through a pretty cold start to February.

Thankfully the weather from Thursday on has picked up markedly, and that looks like continuing until mid-week when it seems that winter will return with colder temperatures and some possibility of snow. The days are getting noticeably longer with that promise of spring around the corner, but it really is a long way for those poor birds to fly!
