Signs of Spring
Spring has now officially started. Unfortunately the weather seems to have missed the memo, so here at PARWICH.ORG we are optimistically holding a photography competition entitled ‘Signs of Spring‘.
Prizes
- 1st prize – Easter Egg
- most amusing entry – a bottle of wine
- best children’s entry – Easter Egg
Closing date
- 12pm (midnight) Sunday 31st March
The competition is open to all. The title can be interpreted literally, for example spring flowers or lambs, or with lateral thinking, for example servicing the lawn mower or even a car spring in a pot hole. There is a first prize for the overall winner, with additional prizes for the most amusing entry and the best children’s entry. All entries will be posted at PARWICH.ORG as submitted. The prizes will be awarded on the afternoon or early evening of Easter Monday.
Rules
Photographs should be:
- taken within 6 miles of Parwich village
- taken this year, 2013
- reflect in some way the title ‘Signs of Spring’
- emailed to parwich@hotmail.co.uk by 12pm (midnight) Sunday 31st March 2013
- submitted in one of the following file formats jpg, jpeg, png or gif (if in doubt submit your entry and we will then let you know if we are unable to open the file)
- a minimum of 800 x 800 pixels, ideally a bit larger
- publishable on PARWICH.ORG
Photographs may be:
- taken on any form of camera, including mobile phones
- submitted with a title or caption, but this is not essential
Entrants must:
- indicate their full names (only first name and surname initial of the winners will be published)
- indicate contact address and/or phone number (will not be published)
- if aged 16 years or under, indicate their age for a chance of winning the children’s prize
- submit no more than three photographs per entrant

Judging will be undertaken by our own John F-S.
