Thank you Helen for forwarding this update. There is usually a good sized Parwich contingent going to the Dovedale Dash, so many will be sad to hear the event is cancelled this year:

That’s a real shame…….I do so look forward to stampeding down Thorpe Pastures with 1200 other lunatics, risking life and limb on the wet limestone, hurling ourselves into the icy Rover Dove up to the waist, running 5 miles, and then bursting lungs up Lin Dale to finish behind blokes in pink fairy costumes and the odd smurf or two. Come to think of it – it’s a strange way to spend a Sunday morning in November, but I sure miss it when it doesn’t happen.
