Made in Derbyshire supports what’s great about our county
Any individual or organisation that organises events, makes products or provides a service that is created or based in the county can register as a member of ‘Made in Derbyshire 2015’.
We’re a lead partner in the campaign working with other local councils, arts and cultural groups, museums and tourism organisations.
Made in Derbyshire will promote the local economy through culture, heritage and sports events and associated products and festivals.
Events will run throughout the year to highlight the county’s unique people, places and products − and also leave a lasting legacy by putting Derbyshire’s local stamp on the national stage.
Our Deputy Cabinet Member for Health and Communities Councillor Ellie Wilcox said:
“Are you proud of Derbyshire and do you run a business, produce or organise something that represents our county? If so, we want to hear from you!”Made in Derbyshire is designed to bring together new and existing events and promote them under one brand to a wider national audience by highlighting what’s unique about our county.
“We hope it will play a key role in boosting Derbyshire’s national profile and economy so we’d urge businesses, music and arts groups to please get signing up.”
