We have received the following update from Parwich Royal British Legion:
On Friday 8th of May, Parwich Royal British Legion will be remembering the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War. We would like to invite members and non-members to come and join us at the Legion as we mark this occasion.
At 7.45 pm we will gather outside the club (inside if it’s raining), this will be followed by:
- the Act of Homage, delivered by Fred Knight;
- Sir Winston Churchill’s famous end of war speech;
- King George VI end of war speech;
- A rendition of Land of Hope and Glory; and
- we will conclude by playing the National Anthem.
We look forward to seeing as many people there as possible to help us mark this occasion, afterwards everyone is more than welcome to join us for a drink. Many thanks for your continued support, Carl (Club Chairman)
