Some money has been found near the start of the Hill Race. If you think it might be yours, email us at parwich@hotmail.co.uk. Tell us amount you have lost and we will pass your details on to the finders. Otherwise if no one claims it by the end of the week, they will donate it to charity.

I believe the correct procedure would be to hand it in to the police.
Following the above comment, the finders of the money contacted the Police to confirm what they should do.
The Police said they are acting properly, though suggested a two week delay before giving the money, if unclaimed, to charity.
Indeed it would seem much more cost effective for the Police and more efficient for us to deal with this locally.
