As suspected when the defendant James Beresford had left by 1901, the judge found in favour of James Twigge.


So 125 years later discussions still continue about the inclemency of the weather and bad state of the roads!
At least we haven’t got the driving snow they had to contend with 125 years ago, yet that is! I particularly liked the phrase “the walk up the hill was pleasant, yet tedious” – is that possible?!
