Thank you to the people who organised this Live&Local event with Louise Jordan, a very talented sing-songwriter with a beautiful voice, a musician and complete with imagery telling the story of several inspiring women determined to make an impact on WW1 against all the odds. A really enlightening and enjoyable evening. Some people in the audience had traveled from as far afield as Sheffield and Lichfield to see her perform.
Thank you Saskia, and thank you also to the organisers Cheryl (who was sadly unable to join us on the night), Val (for a lovely meal and for refreshing the audience!), Angela (also helping with the bar), Nia and Ed (for helping me set up and pack up as well as managing the door) and to everyone in the audience for singing so enthusiastically, for all of your support and kind comments. Parwich is a beautiful village and your warm welcome was very much appreciated. I hope to see you again!
If you are interested to find out more about these incredible, inspirational women please do have a look at http://www.nopetticoatshere.co.uk where I have shared more information. Please do share the website and your programme notes with others, so that more people can learn about their extraordinary experiences and achievements.
With best wishes,
Louise
