Now that the weather is improving and the ground becoming firmer the Parish Council wants to have material removed from the Jubillee Pond to reduce the risk of flooding in the future and improve its appearance.
A tender form has been created on the Parish Council website which can be seen here.
If you are interested in tendering please use the form on our site or contact the Clerk.
Please bring this opportunity to the attention of anyone else you know who may be interested.

Given that the frogs have not long since finished spawning, I just wondered whether this is the best time of the year to be dredging?
Dredging the Jubilee pond will not in itself reduce the risk of flooding. The biggest problem with flooding in the village are pinch points along the brook course, I refer in particular to the section of brook course from Brook cottage on Nether Green to the small bridge that crosses the brook by the entrance to Nether Green house. The banks of the brook want cutting back to there original position. This has been pointed out to the Parish council many times.
