Saturday 30th June ‘Wakes Saturday’
- 9.45am – Oddfellows’ procession – Starting from the Sycamore
- 11am – Oddfellows’ Service – St Peter’s Church. All welcome
- 1.15 pm – Oddfellows’ Dinner – Parwich Memorial Hall
- 10am to 2pm – Village Market on the Green – contact lucywigley@googlemail.com for a stall
- 6pm – Fancy Dress and Carnival – Assemble at the School steps
- 6.15pm – Grand Fancy Dress Carnival Procession around the village ending at the Green
- 7.30pm – Hog Roast and Doveholes Brass Band Concert
Sunday 1st July:
- 11am – The Campsite ‘Songs of Praise Service’ – Parsons Croft
- 12noon – Fun and Games with the Campers – Parsons Croft
- Tractor and vintage car run -Organised and supported by the Sycamore Inn. For further details contact Kirsty on 01335 390212.
- 6pm – Treasure Hunts around the Village – Start on the Green; end at Legion
- 7.30pm – Wakes BBQ – Legion
Monday 2nd July Children’s Sports (open to all):
- 6.30 pm Children’s Sports – Nethergreen
Tuesday 3rd July: The 41st Annual Parwich Hill Race (Starting and finishing at The Sycamore and run over Parwich Hill and roads around Parwich)
- 7pm – Local Ladies’ Race
- 7.30 pm – Junior Hill Race (Local Children are defined as those who were, or still are, eligible to attend Parwich School. (14 Years old and under)
- 8pm – Senior Hill Race (Entry £4)
Wednesday 4th July
- 6.30pm – Strongman Competition – Organised and supported by the Sycamore Inn. For further details contact Kirsty on 01335 390212.
Thursday 5th July: Children’s Film Night and Ball Race
- 6.30 pm – Children’s Film Night Film – Paddington 2 – Parwich Memorial Hall
- 8pm – Ball race on Pump Hill
Friday 6th July – Party Night!
- 8.30pm – Doors open. Music by The Vipers. Tickets £5 (pay on door) Under 12’s free if accompanied by an adult
- Bar provided by the Legion. Parwich Memorial Hall
Wakes 2019 is on Saturday 29th June.
