On a walk this morning over Bletch Brook I heard a cuckoo calling, I must admit it’s the first for a very long time in this area I have heard.

Excellent news David.
Always used to hear a cuckoo here within a day or so either way of the first of May, but it must be well over ten years since I have heard one.
