The beautiful limestone Parwich War Memorial in Parwich churchyard has been cleaned and restored. It was originally erected in 1919, paid for by public subscriptions, and dedicated by the Bishop of Southwell. Now under the auspices of your Parish Council, a cleaning and restoration has taken place by Jack Sills of IMI, Nottingham.
The national War Memorials Trust contributed to half of the cost, with the rest of the funds coming through generous donations from the Royal British Legion, the Oddfellows, Parwich church, the village United Charities, and Longcliffe Quarries.
