Alan (94) passed away on Sunday 12 April He loved Parwich and spent a great deal of his time interacting with and supporting residents and local activities He leaves behind his wife (Violet) who looked after him at home during his last few years when he was unable to get out on his own, and two daughters (Jennifer and Janette) He will be missed by his family and his dancing friends
For the first Parwich History Society talk this year, we’re pleased to welcome Gay Evans who will be talking about Murder in 19th Century Derbyshire and featuring the “Parwich Poisoner”.
Gay has researched her ancestors who were in the village from 1690 through to the mid 1800s.
The talk will be held in the British Legion on Tuesday 28th April from 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome.
History Society meetings are held on the last Tuesday of each month in the British Legion.

Mr Sharpy, otherwise former schoolteacher Ken Pepper, will be back in Parwich on March 31 between 10am and 1pm (or later depending on demand) to sharpen your knives and tools, even some restoration of your garden tools. Ken will stand on the village green.
We would like to invite anyone interested in helping us to organise events in the village, including Wakes week to come along to the Carnival and Recreation Committee AGM on Monday 20th April, 7pm at Parwich Royal British Legion.

As it’s been so wet recently the school are on the look out for some new games/puzzles suitable for 4-11 year olds to use for indoor play and at after school clubs. Anything that you no longer use but is in good condition, doesn’t take long to set up or play would be greatly appreciated.
