Ladies bike going free to collect from Low Moor Pikehall. It’s been in my shed a few years so could probably do with a service.

Also a black child’s stair/door gate and a grey plastic folding dog ramp also going free in case anyone wants them.

On May the 21st the Parish Council will hold the Parish Annual Meeting at 7:30pm followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council. Both in the Memorial Hall.

Residents are invited to attend either of these meetings if they wish.

The Parish Annual Meeting is something which the Council is required to hold, but it is not governed by any set format or regulations. Open discussion, not normally possible in the regular Council meetings, is permitted. But the Council cannot take any decisions in this meeting – other than to place any matters arising on the agenda for a later formal meeting.

As in previous years the Council will take the opportunity to provide summaries of activities and finances during the past year.

Village organisations have been invited to come and talk about their own past and planned activities if they wish.

If there is anything you would like to see added to this meeting please contact the Clerk to the Council, Andrew Martin, on clerk@parwichparishcouncil.org.uk

Annual Meeting is a formal meeting of the Parish Council held in accordance with the normal rules governing Parish Council meetings. A number of reviews take place which are required annually by the Council’s Standing Orders.

Agendas for both meetings will be published later in the week.

Regards

Andrew Martin

We have received the following from Margaret Wood….Someone has hit our wall while we were out and also caught my mums car.  It was this morning (Monday) some time between 10 and 12. The stone gatepost is the same one that is on a postcard Denis has dated 1910 and it now has a massive crack in it, so sad. If anyone saw, or heard anything please contact Margaret on 390531.

The plant stall outside Rookery House will be starting up again this weekend.

We have Cronus, Doronicum, Achillea, Iris, Sunflowers, Bedding Dahlias and lots of annuals.

Plenty there to keep our precious pollinators happy!

If you are splitting plants or have any surplus plants, contributions to the stall would be very welcome.

Birds, bees and butterflies

A good number of people came along last Sunday to find out how to make their gardens more wildlife friendly, with an inspiring talk by Derbyshire Wildlife trust, lots of ideas and plenty of cake! People went home with pots of seeds for pollinators, bird feeders and nest boxes and mini ponds in pots, many signing up to a pledge to make their gardens more wildlife friendly this year.
