Coffee provided by Janet and delicious home made cakes made by several people were enthusiastically enjoyed by a gathering of people at the Sycamore on Thursday morning. These occasions are always enjoyable because you often get to chat and make new friends. It is an opportunity to get to know people that you might only have waved to or smiled at before. The cakes were far too tasty for those of us on a diet – not to mention too many names- and I know of at least one person that was hung over on calorie bombshells! Amongst all the chatting there was time for people to help with a little bit of ‘market research’ for the Big Lottery Fund Application on the kinds of activities, groups, past-times that they could be interested in. Some very interesting suggestions were made. You might see someone wandering about over Wakes Week with a small questionnaire, if they stop you please take pity on them and help to answer a few questions – it is totally anonymous. The results will be available for us all to see.
As always a big thank you to Janet for her generous hospitality and to Marion for organising it.
Thank you to Patti B for sending this blog in.
