The planning application for change of use of the former Parwich Spar Shop is showing as withdrawn on the PDNPA’s (Peak Park) website.
It is interesting to look at the recent application for the change of use of the Cavalier Inn at Grindon to fully residential. A previous application last year was refused on the grounds that non-viability had not been demonstrated. The officers again recommended refusal of the current application, though they now agreed non-viability had been demonstrated, on the grounds that alternative community uses have not been investigated. This application was again refused at the June Planning Committee Meeting.
