Which is the best mobile network for Parwich and the Peak District? I currently use Orange and have no signal anywhere in the village and it is poor generally in this area. Is it my phone or the network? Is O2 better? Views please. Thank you

I would recommend Vodafone. I have used them for 10 years: it has no coverage anywhere in the village, indeed there is very limited reception between Fenny Bentley and Hartington, which is wonderful. Long may it last!
Thanks Peter – at least I know now not to go to Vodafone.
I use O2, and get an OK reception in the village. It doesn’t work everywhere, but it has worked in most places that I’ve needed it.
i use O2 (via Tesco Mobile), and I agree that it works in most places, especially high up here!
I believe geography is the problem. we are surrounded by high ground and very short wave transmissions are line of sight, a mobile needs to “see” an ariel. With Orange I do get a signal outside on Rathbone Croft but not indoors. Having tested in my usual haunts I do get a signal, though I do tend to be on higher ground than the village. I have a better system than Peter T – no one has my number!
I use O2 and get a signal most places in the village, including in our house, Rob has an Orange phone, it gets some coverage but not as much as O2 and he has to go upstairs to use it in the house.
Orange works fine for me at top end of Creamery Lane.
Orange will kind of work at mine just above Colin but not in doors at all. O2 works just fine inside and out on the Creamery Lane area.
