Thank you to all who gave so generously at the Swiss Raclette Evening held on Saturday night. Thirty people attended the Project Parwich fundraiser for the new village hall. The evening raised close to £300. Exact figures will be calculated when Sue and Mike are awake enough to work the calculator!
Thanks to John F-S for the photos.
p.s. Somebody left an umbrella. Just call round for it if it’s yours!
It really was a super night and an extremely novel idea, ‘roll on’ the next one. I’m sure I heard Amanda suggest a chili night, just tell us the date!
Thanks to Sue, Mike, Heather & Sam for all their hard work & to their friends that came down to help.
I agree. Brilliant night. Feeling a bit worse for wear today though.
What a great get- together….lots of interesting food, too much wine and of course chat and laughter. Perhaps we could have one of these every month. Many, many thanks to Sue and Mike, Heather and Sam for all their hard work and making us feel so welcome.
Now, is my memory playing tricks on me or were Linda and I tap dancing on the hearth at one o’clock in the morning…. and are we having a Mamma Mia ‘sing along’ in the village hall and was there some talk of a folk group?
A great evening, and really wonderful evening; Jean was very grateful for her ‘doggy’ plate. Many thanks
Thanks to all the Hughes for a very jolly evening!
We hope to be able to show the film Mamma Mia the Movie around Christmas time, and are looking to see if a sing-a-long version of the DVD wil be available by then.
Sounds great. Was I there?
I’m not sure if you were there in body Colin but as for the spirit… well who knows. You certainly missed a great night if you weren’t….
You were definitely there Colin – I still keep putting on odd shoes following your helpful rearrangement of our shoe rack!
Yes a really lovely evening, big thanks to the Hughes family, not sure where the time went, but I too had a slightly sore head on Sunday! Did I really suggest a chilli night? Actually its very likely as its the only thing I can cook!! I’ll plan a date and let you know….
