As some of you may be aware Simon has already take his well-earned retirement and is just filling in until early January, when his replacement will take on his round.
Simon has been serving the village for the last 11 years and we felt we wanted to do something to say thank you and good retirement – Val Kirkham and the Methodists are arranging for a visiting choir to come to Parwich Church on Sunday 13th December for a Xmas Concert at 2.30pm, and for the concert to be followed by mince pies and refreshments. She has kindly offered to extend this concert to be a goodbye for Simon – and he has agreed to attend.
Would you like to join us? Either for the concert and mince pies, or just for the mince pies afterwards.
Please could you let us know if you would like to attend so that we can make sure we have enough refreshments for you!
Also if you would like to contribute towards a goodbye present for Simon, please give your donations either to Janet at the pub, or to us at Gibbons Bank
Hope to see you on Sunday 13th December at 2.30pm

Brilliant idea. Simon has been such a brilliant postie – one of the ‘old fashioned’ types who goes out of his way to be helpful – we shall miss you Simon – thanks from all of us at Blanche Meadow
Yes a very good idea. Simon will be sadly missed as will his sense of humour. He is always helpful , kind and has an answer for everything. Good Luck Simon, I know you will enjoy your retirement.
That’s a real shame as Simon is so cheery and helpful. Hopefully he will have a happy retirement and well earned rest.
Simon will be very much missed, brilliant at taking letters or parcels for you, I sometimes call him a grumpy old man but he takes all in good fun, he will be hard to replace with his dry sense of humour, he will now be able to get his gardening and decorating done!!!
Simon represents what is best about our postal service, hopefully there are still more like you. Best wishes to you for the future.
