If you are out and about today, please could you let the blog team know about road conditions. Has anyone managed to leave the village yet, if so, on which road?

Oh yes – I was out at 7.30am, heading out to Tissington. The road was very slippy in deed and on the return journey, the slope down towards Tissington ford was quite hair raising (not that i have any) even in a defender. I’ve also been along the Alsop road as far as Alsop church. You can see tarmac most of the way and I think the road is passable for 2wd cars. Though the slope up to the A515 may be more challenging. Folk coming to the church service at Alsop were shuttled in by defenders from the 515, which apparently is moving slowly.
Off to Fenny this afternoon…
