Though we have not had a lot of snow so far, as Cheryl W pointed out in her recent comment, the roads are dangerously icy. The crash on the B5056 could have been much worse than it fortunately was. The car can not have been that far from going off the road down the steep hillside.
With temperatures this morning the coldest on record locally, and likely to be as bad or even worse tonight, watch out for ice tomorrow morning.

B5056 still the same although it’s just started to flicker with snow in Ashbourne
Dale Road and Alsop Road tricky this morning – no grit, probably only passable in 4×4. A515 to Buxton passable with care, snow blowing across in drifts at the usual locations (Parsley Hay, Flagg). Buxton side roads are bad.
