Lo and behold! Again a pile of dog faeces in exactly the same place as the last two ‘sightings’ on Creamery Lane near the small green!
I had become quite optimistic after my last ‘doggie-fouling’ blog post when the problem appeared to have stopped, even wondering whether the Parwich blog includes some canine readers who’d passed the message on to their fellow 4-legged friends. Alas, my optimism was unfounded.
Whose dog was allowed to wander around between approx. 4 and 5 pm on Monday afternoon?
Please, please take responsibility for your dog and do not allow them to roam around unaccompanied or at least tidy up after them.
Thank you.

Another Pile of Pooh!

Alimentary my dear Watson. Firstly given the evidence I can safely say that all small dogs in the village may be eliminated from this inquiry forthwith. As an extremely high majority of Parwich dog owners act in a very responsible manner with regard to their pets and their actions this would reduce the list of suspects to an even greater extent. As this dirty deed appears to be perpetrated within a specific time scale and as the criminal invariably returns to the scene of the crime I suggest a covert operation armed with a camera in order to catch the culprit in action and provide indisputable evidence to take issue with the owners.
Thank you for raising this matter once again,.Best Regards Sherlock H.
My dear Sherlock,
Am I correct thinking that you are offering to take charge of an investigation into this hitherto unresolved dirty-deed case? Shall I prepare a sample for you to take away to have it analysed in your laboratory?
Good man. Most grateful, old chap.
Watson
My dear Watson, what an admirable response, I would have expected nothing less from you old boy,I take my deerstalker off to you. How refreshing to be thrown a lifeline when one is drowning in the quicksand of life. As to the business in hand I feel I am unable to expound much further on this unpleasant case due to my demanding violin lessons ,I do suspect however that these foul deeds may be the work of Professor Moriarty in an attempt to put us off the scent or it may even be the Mound of the Baskervilles. I doubt whether forensic analysis would shed any further light on this matter ,I am afraid this is down to good old fashioned detective work. always remember “eliminate the improbable and you are left with the probable.
Stay vigilant, Best regards,Sherlock H.
