We have received the following press release from Friends of the Peak District:
Countryside lover Isabella Stone is looking forward to spending a day in one of the Peak District’s most attractive gardens on 8 September.
Isabella lives in Matlock and is Chair of local charity Friends of the Peak District. She is a keen gardener, and has organised an exclusive event at the grounds of the Grade II Hall in Parwich.
“The gardens at Parwich Hall are absolutely delightful at any time of the year, and we’re hoping for a sunny September day so that people can really enjoy the late roses and vegetable garden in its full glory. There are some really fine views of the countryside from the terraces,” she said.
“Our charity is committed to looking after the amazing landscapes of the Peak District. I love looking around fabulous gardens, so when the chance to combine my two passions came up, I grabbed it! We are so grateful to Robert and Alice Shields for opening Parwich Hall gardens to us.”
“We do hope that people will join us to enjoy some refreshments and get an insiders’ peek into this beautiful place, while at the same time supporting a really worthwhile local cause,” she added.
- Parwich Hall Open Garden: 11am – 4pm on Saturday 8 September at Parwich Hall, Parwich DE6 1QD.
