   Another fantastic photograph John! I heard on BBC Winterwatch that blue tits (weighing average 11g) have to eat their body weight per day at this time of year to avoid starvation, and that they can lose up to 10% weight per night on cold nights – so make sure those feeders are full – I know from experience they particularly enjoy peanuts (but you need to ensure a fine mesh feeder so they don’t swallow them whole and choke…..).
