Very sorry to hear of Betty’s passing.
We will always remember her as a gracious and astute woman.
Our condolences to Roger and Jean.
Graham & Amanda.
We were very sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. Our deepest sympathy to Roger, Jean and all the family.
Very sorry to hear of Bettys death a lovely lady
Ray and Betty were very welcoming, when I moved to the Village. The enthusiasm of both for life and learning new things was inspirational. Talking to Betty always left me feeling positive with the world. Although she was able to get out less latterly, she will still be much missed.
John and I were very sad to hear that Betty (Vera as we tried to remember to call her!) had died. She was always so charming and courteous, interested and interesting. Our sincere sympathies go to Roger and Jean.
So sad to hear Betty has passed. A real inspiration. A woman in her own right, plus devoted mother and wife.
Thank you all for the kind comments. Mum will be buried with a Humanist ceremony at the Woodland Burial site, Thornsett Cemetery, New Mills on Tuesday at 2.00pm. Anyone is welcome or if you would like to give a small donation to either the RNIB or the Stroke Association please contact us. Thanks again. Roger and Jean
