“Possibly the most important meeting you will ever attend”
You will have read recently about the arrival of our very own static defibrillator for use by any one of us if the need should arise. Parwich First Responders can now confirm that The Community Heartbeat Trust will be coming to talk on
Tuesday 30th September
at 7.30pm
The Memorial Hall
The aim of the evening is to help you understand how to use this life-saving equipment in the event of an emergency. We hope to see as many of you there as possible. For more information you might like to read the attached leaflet:
Thanks so much Peter. This is a vitally important community initiative, and one that will potentially save lives. All those involved deserve much congratulation for taking the trouble to bring it to Parwich. Given the crucial role this equipment will play in a life-threatening situation, may I just make a couple of points ahead of the meeting: the leaflet contains a number of basic grammatical errors, which doesn’t inspire confidence; it is ambiguous (eg the actual need to call 999 as part of the process of using the defibrillator); and it has a scale at bottom which is not identified (minutes/hours?) If minutes, heck …
Looking forward to the meeting where no doubt these uncertainties will be clarified.
Thanks for the comments Anthony. The leaflet was not produced by us- but the scale at the bottom of the graph is in minutes.. hence the need to get access to a defibrillator as soon as possible!
