Marion F-S got a shock when trying to book flights on-line recently. Watch ITV Central News this evening at 6pm to find out more.
Marion being interviewed by ITV’s Phil Brewster.
Added later:
Apologies to anyone who watched the 6.00 ITV news – no sign of Marion anywhere. The attached was what all the fuss was about. Cheers John F-S.

Unfortunately I missed the programme. For those that also missed it, the reason that Marion ended up on TV is, that whilst booking a budget flight to Portugal, after identifying a good deal and starting the booking process, she noticed the extras were starting to mount up. After tax, a check in bag and booking fees the final total came to over £23 billion. Not such a bargain after all.
Marion had put this on her Facebook page and through a chain of connections Central News ended up contacting her.
Marion, may-be you didn’t read the introduction to the OFFER: ’15 Boeing 707’s and 25 Airbusses included in … the price when booking 2 return flights to Portugal’.
PS: I will strongly object any planning applications for a runway in your garden.
Saskia, too late – the runway is already planned. It will involve demolishing one or two local houses but no doubt you will soon find somewhere suitable to move to…
To be serious for a moment, Phil Brewster of ITV emailed this morning saying “The reason the story wasn’t on last night is down largely to one other story coming in longer than expected AND down to a last-minute update re: how our MPs voted on the Iraq-IS bombing vote.
The likelihood now is that it should be broadcast next week – probably Monday. I’m off work next week but will try to find out when they’re planning to run it.”
Quite sure it is not worth watching, or if only to have a quiet laugh at my expense!!
