Thanks Peter.
I must say I greatly value this kind of information, and I admire the comprehensive way in which the Blog Team has presented it. It is a public service of the best sort, and in this and the many other ways the Blog Team informs our community, you all deserve congratulation.
Any thoughts on why we have an inquorate Parish Council? Is this a rare outcome in the history of Parwich?
Good point Anthony C, as a retiring councillor, having “done my bit” for the last eight years I can only say how very surprised I am that more people have not come forward to join the council.
I can only urge anyone considering putting themselves forward to do so as serving your community is a positive and rewarding thing to do.
Thanks Robert. By any standard, you certainly have “done your bit”, as have all of our outgoing councillors no doubt.
Given your lengthy service to our community as a parish councillor, do you have any advice (tips, experiences, and so on) to share with those who might be interested in serving? Upsides and downsides? What might a tyro parish councillor be taking on?
