BBC 1 Freeview – is anyone else having problems with the signal on this channel from the Parwich transmitter (East Midlands, channel 24)?

I also have been having intermittent reception problems involving at times loss of signal with all the BBC channels this evening on Freeview via the Parwich Transmitter, and also seem to have lost all the new Freeview channels that arrived at the end of August. I ended up going on line to see the programme I wanted.

To find out about how to deal with TV reception problems go to UK Broadcast Transmission and to report specific problems with BBC reception either phone 03700 100123 or go to the BBC website. The BBC website is showing that there were problems with the Parwich transmitter over the last few days and that ‘reduced quality’ is currently reported this evening.

Like Peter, I have also had a ‘No signal’ message on the BBC channels intermittently and usually only very briefly. It’s not been annoying or long enough for me to investigate or do something about it…. it’s given me just time enough to make a hot drink.
May-be a certain media baron, who shall remain unnamed, has found another way to speed up the demise of the BBC by employing saboteurs nationwide to meddle with the transmitters….
I know nothing about the technicalities but could it be something to do with the current weather and atmospheric conditions? Monday was a particulalry bad day.
btinternet has been terrible too.
Debbie, consider Zycomm’s w3z next time your contract is up. I’ve just checked my Download speed, which is 23 Mb this morning. It can drop to 17 – 18 Mb at times, but rarely lower. I’ve also changed my (H) phone to Vonage recently and the first 2 monthly bills indicate that I am going to halve, if not more, my annual telephone bill. (Vonage uses the Zycomm system – please don’t ask me any technical questions …).
