Christine B (née Goldstraw) has put several posts on our Facebook page asking if people remember her late grandparents (see https://www.facebook.com/parwich/ – Visitor are posts lower down on the left hand side of the page).
Can anyone in the village remember my late grandparents? Left with hat on Mr Clifford Goldstraw, next to him Harriet Goldstraw. They lived at Crown House, Parwich.
Crown House, formerly the Crown Inn and the original home of the Parwich Oddfellows, is now called Crown Cottage.

These must be the parents of the Cliff (married to Kath) that most of us remember very fondly. I particularly remember Kath talking of her early married life when she first came to the village, living with her in laws at Crown Cottage.
Christine B has also given us her email address, so if you do not want to comment publicly you can contact the Blog Team on parwich@hotmail.co.uk and we can forward any emails to her.
Yes I can remember Mrs Goldstraw, standing next to her is my Grandad Alf Brownlee living at Slate House.contact my Father Fred Brownlee he wil tell you all about them
Suggest that they ask a Jack or Geoff Allsopp as both families lived together at Crown house.
