According to a contact within Robinson’s, the brewery are in negotiation with a party interested in developing the Sycamore. To protect our source we can’t reveal too much about the party involved but will call it the HB Plan for now.
The HB plan is to develop the Sycamore as a small boutique hotel and fine dining vegetarian restaurant. Keeping the original frontage but demolishing the rear brick section and rebuilding over and beyond the current footprint. The proposed development will include –
- 8 Deluxe guest suites
- Commercial Kitchen facilities
- Re-alignment of the stream behind the property to enable-
- A waterside garden restaurant
- Glass viewing platform
- Ornamental garden and illumination along the stream
- New wider car park entrance
- Removal of side garden to provide car park with space for 24 vehicles and 2 coaches
- technology including deep-ground thermal heating, solar panels, bio-fuel recycling plant and new miniature wind turbine generation.
We hope to have more on this exciting development shortly.

When Ms Berry opens this new marvellous development, can we expect a stream of Hollywood A listers and James Bond themed champagne parties 🍸🍾
I’ve heard they will also be offering alpaca trekking up Parwich hill. What a fantastic idea and great to see some innovation coming to the Peak District.
Is this really viable without a helipad?
Well, I heard there was going to be a marina for (very) narrow boats.
I am so looking forward to seeing some Arabian sheiks (with harems in tow) and Russians oligarchs strolling around the village after their exquisite meals. Not to mention the limousines queuing up to get into Parwich. Can’t wait…
