Welcome back!
Swallows have returned even earlier this year – just spotted the first (for me at least) feeding high over Manor Farm at Alsop.
Always a joy!

Am looking forward to them returning to my garage, though mine always seem to arrive later but also stay latter than most.
Good for you for leaving your garage accessible Peter – at least to the swallows! I used to do the same when I lived in Norfolk (and actually had a garage) and had the same male swallow return for the four years I lived in that particular house. I saw three broods raised during two of those years, causing them to leave rather later than usual. I like to think that swallow’s progeny still regard that garage as “home”.
Three swallows today at Blanche Meadow. One pair already inspecting the nests from last year and one lonely male in waiting.
