The Parish Council has arranged with the Probation Service for a Community Payback team to clear the ground on the Parish Council’s land at Pump Hill. They will be removing brambles and small self seeded trees and shrubs. No work is being done on trees.
The work will be carried out this weekend, 24th and 25th of March. There will be a skip provided by Derbyshire County Council parked in the road from Friday to Monday to collect what is removed.
This work is being carried out at no cost to the Parish Council.
The work is not linked to any future plans for Pump Hill. It is just being seen as an opportunity to improve its appearance. None the less any comments or suggestions would be welcome.
Inclued it in the village clean up then turn it in to a mamorial garden , put one or two benches in there were people can sit, think and listen to the birdsong. I think that if this plot of land was in the centre of the village it would not have be left to get as run down.
