Hi all,
I’m using some of my time on furlough to make scrub bags for the Derby Royal, and others who need them. The idea is that at the end of their shift nurses, Dr’s etc put their scrubs straight into a washable bag and tie it up before taking it home and putting it straight into their washer, removing the need to touch contaminated clothes once home.
I’ve made my first batch but am now running short of fabric. Would anyone have any pillowcases, duvet covers or fabric they be happy to donate. Pillowcases would be ideal as they’re quick to convert, fabric would need to be a half meter minimum.

If anyone could help donate then please contact me via rosieposie2052@hotmail.com or 07712 481 197.
I’m happy to collect from wherever you’re located. Any help at all would be gratefully received.
Many thanks,
Rosie

Hi Rosie, is there any chance I could have one of these as I work for the ambulance service and this would really help me by not bringing the virus home on my uniform.
Many thanks
Hi Louise, of course. As soon as I get my next batch made I can drop one off. Will 1 be enough, or would 2 or 3 be more helpful?
Hi Rosie,
Can I please have 3 as I can have one in the wash and 2 spare for my other shifts.
Thank you so much this will really help people on the front line xx
Hi Rosie, what wonderful work you are doing! I was going to put a similar request on the blog on behalf of a group of Ashbourne-based seamstresses who are sewing gowns and wash bags for local carers. They too are asking for clean washed old sheets and duvet covers as well as pillowcases. May-be EVERYONE can have a good sort-out of their linen …. I don’t want to ‘compete’ with Rosie, but contact me on 440 for further details.
Hi Saskia, that sounds fabulous! The amazing people we have here in Parwich have been extremely generous with their donations, so much so that there’s plenty to go around. I’ll make a drop of fabrics to Betty’s tomorrow when I pop to town to collect prescriptions. Thank you for sharing their request x
Hi Rosie, Betty’s is indeed one of the Ashbourne drop-off points that I was given, so I’ll let you have my supplies to drop off if that is OK with you? Many thanks.
Hi Saskia, of course, no problems at all. I’ll be going down after lunch tomorrow, if you’re happy to leave the bits in a bag either at your gate or by your garage I’ll collect on my way past. Many thanks x
I have 2 old white king size duvet covers if they are ok. I can leave them in a bag at the end of my drive. It’s Barn Cottage.
Hi Gill,
If you’re happy to leave them out I’ll drop by this aft to collect them.
Many thanks x
That’s great. I’ll leave them at the end of the drive.
