Thank you to all those that have worked so hard and helped organise our village VE Day celebrations. During a period that has been at times surreal, difficult and in some cases full of personal tragedy, you have kept us galvanised and focussed on a day that we could come together as a village and celebrate. Our family loved it all, particularly the church bells that have been so silent and the broadcasts. A special thank you to Kirsty and Jane at the Sycamore for producing those stupendous teas – we still have cake for today.
