I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who has participated and hopefully enjoyed Wakes so far. It’s been an awesome weekend and record numbers of people attending. It means a lot to us Parwich folk and the Carnival and Recreation Committee that this tradition continues and this spurs us on to keep going. A massive shout out to everyone that has helped, donated or just contributed to the weekend and the best news is there is still a full week of events to go. A special shout out to Notts DA for attending, we have missed Ian and his family but his legacy will carry on.
Hopefully see you all around for the rest of the week and I’ll be sharing some better quality photos later in the week (thanks to David G).

I would like to give my thanks to Rosie and the committee for organising the Wakes Market on Saturday and to all the lovely people and their dogs who visited my stall, where I was raising funds for Cheadle Aninal Welfare Society. We had a very successful few hours. Even the weather was kind to us.
