On May the 17th the Parish Council will hold its Annual Meeting at 7:00pm and the Parish Annual Meeting at 8:00pm. Both in the Memorial Hall.
Residents are invited to attend either of these meetings if they wish.
The Annual Meeting is a formal meeting of the Parish Council held in accordance with the normal rules governing Parish Council meetings. A number of reviews take place which are required annually by the Council’s Standing Orders.
The Parish Annual Meeting is something which the Council is required to hold, but it is not governed by any set format or regulations. Open discussion, not normally possible in the regular Council meetings, is permitted. But the Council cannot take any decisions in this meeting – other than to place any matters arising on the agenda for the next formal meeting.
As in previous years the Council will take the opportunity to provide summaries of activities and finances during the past year.
Village organisations have been invited to come and talk about their own past and planned activities if they wish.
If there is anything you would like to see added to this meeting please contact the Clerk to the Council, Andrew Martin, on clerk@parwichparishcouncil.org.uk
Agendas for both meetings will be published later in the week.
