Emma Spence is standing down as Treasurer for the Legion and from the Legion committee. She has supported the Legion for many years and given a huge amount of time to help make it the successful social hub it is today. We are doing a small presentation to her at Friday’s Open the Safe, and we would like to invite Legion customers past, present and future to come and join us.
Carl Wilton is also having a bit of a break from Legion Committee duties, but he’s still going to be part of Legion activities over the summer, and will pick up again as Chair in the autumn. Phil Kirkham is covering him in the meantime.This means we are on the lookout for new committee members, including a club treasurer. If you have knowledge around accounts and payroll, that would be fantastic, but anybody is welcome to join the committee – you just need a bit of spare time and an interest in the club. We’re keen to make sure the club offers something for everyone, so new ideas are always very welcome!

Indian Takeaway – Order by 8.30 pm today (Tue) for delivery at the Legion 7.30 pm tomorrow (Wed)

Today is the last chance to order!
The Legion will be offering an arrangement with local takeaways for delivery to Parwich once a month, alternating Indian with Chinese.
Next week we will do a group order to Red Chilli in Ashbourne – their food is very tasty and they have different levels of spiciness from not to hot! Click here to link to their menu, or call in to the Legion where there are menus to pick up and order forms.
Please place your order, with payment, at the Legion by 8.30 pm on Tuesday 9th May.
Your meal will be delivered to the Legion on Wednesday 10th May at 7.30 pm.
You can either collect your meal and take it home, or stay and eat with us with an Indian beer or your usual tipple. Please indicate when you place your order if you want to eat in, so we can ensure we set out enough tables.
