Delivery times 7 to 12 days, but due to driver shortages in some areas these times are now an estimated delivery time, so please allow plenty of time for your order to be delivered. If you are low on heating oil this group order will not be suitable.

TIP: Supply chain delays are growing! We are already seeing a number of issues developing in the industry causing delays on deliveries, including driver shortages, a sharp increase in demand for oil, as well as production cuts. Delivery timelines are now heading up to 14 working days, so please be sure to order earlier than usual to ensure you don’t run out before a delivery can get to you.
Our recommendation to our members is now to order when you have 5+ weeks worth of oil left.

TIP: Cut back any overgrown greenery – As we come to the end of the summer months, greenery is at its fullest. Therefore it is a good idea to cut back any overgrowth that may be surrounding your tank or obscuring access to your property, so that the tanker drivers are able to access your property, inspect whether the tank is safe, and to deliver your oil safely. Drivers are required to inspect at least 3 sides of a tank, and may not be able to successfully complete a delivery if this is not possible or their access is obscured.

Oil prices rebounded this week after a fatal fire on a major Mexican state-owned platform in the Gulf, which reduced oil production by more than 400,000 barrel per day. Brent Crude is back up to $72 a barrel.

Oil prices fell further on Friday for the seventh day in a row, the longest run of daily declines since 2019, amid growing concerns about global oil demand and an indication from the Fed it would ease its stimulus program. Brent crude down to $65 a barrel today.

TIP: Don’t get caught out in the cold this winter – please double check your tank is in good condition and your gauge is working correctly so you know you are going into the winter months with a healthy, safe tank.
It is worth doing a visual check of your tank now ahead of the upcoming cold months to ensure there are no sags, cracks or bulges in the tank, that the base of the tank is sturdy and adequate for the tank size and weight, and that the delivery drivers are able to see at least 3 sides of the tank when they do their visual inspections, to avoid any possible refused deliveries.

The OPEC+ decision last week to add additional Crude supply to the market every month starting in August and the resurgence of Covid-19 in some parts of the world led to a brief drop in the oil price last week. However, with demand holding up, Brent Crude once again passed $76 a barrel this week.

TIP: Upgrade your oil to Premium oil – It is a good idea to upgrade your fuel to Premium fuel with a bottle of Exocet Additive. Exocet Additives lower carbon emissions, stabilise fuel, clean injectors, inhibit sludge formation in your tank, and improve overall fuel performance and efficiency.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

OPEC+ have reached a deal this week to increase supply to the market from August onwards in a bid to cool off oil prices which had reached 2 1/2 year highs. This has removed some uncertainty from the market and subsequently caused Brent Crude prices to dip this week just over $73 a barrel, however Goldman Sachs have voiced their expectations that Brent Crude could reach $80 a barrel later this summer.

TIP: Remove unwanted water from your tank – Over time condensation causes water to build up at the bottom of your tank (especially after warmer weather), and if stirred up into the oil when new fuel is added the water can be sucked through your fuel line into your system and cause issues.
To combat this, we recommend using water scavengers every 3 months or so to absorb and remove any water sat in your tank. You can find a range Water Scavengers and the Water Test Kit in our Club Store in the members area.

TIP: Remove condensation from your tank – With the recent warmer weather heating up oil tanks, there may be more condensation in your tank than usual. Over time water builds up at the bottom of a tank through condensation.

Oil prices rose early on Friday for a sixth consecutive day on expectations that re-opening economies and higher travel numbers in the United States and Europe would boost fuel demand. These expectations outweighed the concerns this week over the spread of Coronavirus in parts of Asia and the potential return of Iranian oil to the market. Brent Crude is currently at $69.66 a barrel.

Brent crude has been rising all week to a one year high heading for $60 a barrel. Optimism in Covid vaccine roll outs and draws on oil inventories continuing to be larger than expected are all adding to the upward pressure, with some suggesting prices could rise much further over the coming months.
Please note the delivery times on this order which are estimated. Suppliers are busy and estimated delivery times are 7 to 14 working days from when Club orders close on Monday. Some suppliers are struggling with deliveries due to drivers self-isolating and the snow and ice in certain parts of the country. Have you checked your tank? With the cold weather and so many of us working from home, have you made a visual inspection of your oil level? As we have had some members reporting faulty readings from their meters over the last few weeks.

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club

Brent crude has been stable all week hovering between $55-$56 a barrel. A larger than expected crude draw last week would normally push prices higher but concern over global pandemic lockdowns continues to weigh heavy on traders.
Please note – suppliers are busy and estimated delivery times are 7 to 14 working days from when Club orders close on Monday. Some suppliers are struggling with deliveries due to drivers self-isolating and the snow and ice in certain parts of the country. Therefore, please allow plenty of time for your delivery and do order early to avoid disappointment.

Have you checked your tank? – With the cold weather and so many of us working from home, have you made a visual inspection of your oil level? As we have had some members reporting faulty readings from their meters over the last few weeks.
We suggest ordering when you have 6-8 winter weeks worth of oil left, to ensure you do not run out incase of any delivery delays caused by icy conditions, flooded roads or drivers off isolating due to Covid-19. Delivery times in the winter months are all subject to weather and supply conditions and are an estimated delivery time.

Brent crude falls back slightly today, just below $55 a barrel, as news of growing oil inventories and worsening global pandemic news stalls recent prices rises.

Brent crude remains at an 11 month high, just above $55 a barrel, on hopes that the incoming Biden administration will quickly push through yet another round of stimulus payments. However, please note suppliers are now very busy and delivery times are 7 to 14 working days.

Icy Conditions – With the cold weather causing very icy conditions, please allow extra time for your delivery to arrive, as the tankers will be having more trouble than usual with the roads, as well as increased demand. We suggest ordering when you have 6-8 weeks worth of oil left, to ensure you do not run out even with the heating on full and in case of any delivery delays caused by icy conditions or drivers off having to isolate due to Covid-19.
Please note, delivery times in the winter months are all subject to weather and supply conditions, and we are also seeing a much higher level of tanker drivers off than we have in previous years due to self-isolation.

Oil prices continue to rise, hitting an 11-month high after Saudi Arabias surprise announcement about production cuts of an additional million barrels of Crude oil. Brent Crude up at $55 a barrel. Delivery times 7 to 10 working days.

Order Early – With cold, icy conditions across much of the country, we recommend ordering when you are down to around 8 weeks minimum of winter supply left (as for reference ‘The Beast from the East’ in 2018 added around a month to the normal delivery times, as tankers were grounded due to the snow). Please note, delivery times in the winter months are subject to weather and supply conditions and we are seeing a much higher level of tanker drivers off than we have in the past due to self-isolation.
