A big thank you to Parwich and especially to Martin C for the offer of the piano from the vicarage.
But now we need three more favours: (i) to borrow a trolley which we could wheel it on; (ii) the use of a van or truck which it could be moved in; and (iii) some big strong men (or women of course) who could help to move it. If you can help us with any or all of these, please call the school on 245. Thank you very much!
Bags 2 School fund raising

Parwich Primary School will be again participating in Bag 2 School, where second hand clothing is exchanged for money. Look out your unwanted clothing, bedding, curtains, soft toys, shoes, belts and handbags to School. This is a fantastic fund-raiser that brings the School £200 for every tonne collected.
Children take your blue bags to School on Wednesday 3rd June or for collection on the Thursday. Everyone else please leave your unwanted adults’ and children’s clothing, bedding, curtains, soft toys, shoes, belts and handbags in the School porch on the afternoon of Wednesday the 3rd June ready for collection on the next day.
Don’t bring the bags any sooner as the School has no where to store them.
Walk to School Week
Posted in School, Transport on Sunday May 17, 2009| Leave a Comment »
This week is Walk to the School Week.
Parwich Primary School are encouraging staff and children to leave their cars at home and where possible walk to school.
An additional idea is that parents who have to drive, leave their cars on The Green (or even by the football pitch) and walk through the village.
The School will be collecting information and giving out stickers and certificates to those children that take part. Again, this is a national and local county initiative aimed at encouraging healthy living and lowering pollution levels.
Perhaps other PARWICH.ORG readers could also think about how they could walk more and use cars less this week. Adults and children let us know how you get on and share any good ideas you have.

On behalf of the school and the community – Congratulations and well done!

Do you have a piano?
Posted in School on Wednesday May 13, 2009| 1 Comment »
Do you (or does anyone you know) have a piano sitting in their front, middle, back room or garage which never or rarely gets used? Would you be prepared to donate or lend it on a long-ish term basis to Parwich Primary School? A new programme of music lessons is being brought into the school for the village children to learn guitar, violin and piano but the school cannot afford a piano. Please call the school on 245 if you can help or email us on parwich@hotmail.co.uk and we will pass your offer onto the school.

Term dates for the Primary School.
Posted in About this site, School on Tuesday April 28, 2009| Leave a Comment »
We’ve added a permanent page to this site, which shows contact details and term dates for Primary School. (These currently stretch as far ahead as July 2010.)
In the future, you’ll be able to find it in the “Elsewhere on PARWICH.ORG section” on the right hand side of this page (it’s listed under “Primary school term dates”), or alternatively via the main Site Map, or via our permanent INFO page.
(Everyone has their favourite way of navigating the further reaches of this site, and we like to provide alternative routes!)
