Santa will be doing a slow driving tour around the village today (20th) from 5pm.
The tour will start at the Village Green following the route below. It is expected to return back to the Village Green around 5.35-5.45pm.

Please can you all stand outside your houses, adults with a Christmas drink (I’ve heard Santa is partial to the odd tipple!!) and children with bells – or anything which makes a noise (the louder the better!) To cheer him on and wish him a safe journey back to Lapland before he starts his major job on Christmas Eve.
Any questions just let me know lucywigley@googlemail.com

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
Oil prices continue to rise as increased demand from China and India sees them buying more oil than the previous month. Brent Crude is now over $52 a barrel. Delivery times are currently between 7 and 10 working days but are subject to weather and supply conditions.
Beat the January rush – Orders this weekend are most likely to be delivered after Christmas with the 10 working day deliveries being made by the 7th January, so please do order early if you require oil in January. As always in the winter months, supply is subject to weather and supply conditions. We hope there will not be any Brexit disruption but most of our fuel is imported so please order early.
However, if you are already very low or have run out, this group order will not be suitable.
Rate: £0.3595 (pence per litre excluding vat [5% for Domestic use])

Don’t forget you can still complete the Elf Trail up until Sunday 20th December 🎅🎅🎄😍. If you don’t know the village too well you may want to leave out 9, 10 and 11 as they are quite a trek but you can still guess the words and get a treat 😉. You can walk straight from West View across in front of the Church to Church Cottage. If you are unsure just message me (lucywigley@googlemail.com). The pub shop is open to collect sheets 10.30am – 2.30pm Saturday and Sunday.

Happy hunting

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
Oil prices rise as the market is full of vaccine optimism, notably out of the UK, which started mass vaccinations on Tuesday. Brent Crude is up at $50 a barrel. Delivery times are currently between 7 and 10 working days but are subject to weather and supply conditions.
Be sure you order early – Suppliers delivery slots are now filling up as we count down to Christmas, the New Year and Brexit. Whilst many orders will be delivered before Christmas this can no longer be guaranteed and as always in the winter months, supply is subject to weather and supply conditions. We hope there will not be any Brexit disruption but most of our fuel is imported so please order early.
However, if you are already very low or have run out though, this group order will not be suitable..

I’ve been talking to the Elves and they have let it slip that Santa will be driving through Parwich on Sunday 20th December from 5pm 🎅🎅🎅
I will keep you posted on all the Santa updates and find out which way he will be driving so we can all give him a big Christmas cheer and wave as he drives through on his way to Lapland.
Remember to be good so you don’t get on the naughty list!

The elves have been super busy around Parwich and will be ready for you to find them from 12th – 20th December. There are 15 elves in total and each one has a letter which spell out two Christmas words.
Copies of the map will be available from The Sycamore Pub shop or you can download it here.

Once you have completed the trail return to the Sycamore shop where they have very kindly donated a small treat for each child.
Any questions or problems just email friend to the elves Lucy M lucywigley@googlemail.com

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
Brent Crude passes $49 a barrel today on news that OPEC+ have agreed to maintain the majority of the current production cuts from January 2021. Delivery times are currently between 7 and 10 working days but are subject to weather and supply conditions.
Be sure you order early. Suppliers delivery slots are now filling up as we count down to Christmas. If you require fuel before Christmas, this may be the last weekend to ensure this happens and, as always in the winter months, supply is subject to weather and supply conditions. We hope there will not be any Brexit disruption but most of our fuel is imported so please order early.
However, if you are already very low or have run out though, this group order will not be suitable.

Any questions email our helper Lucy M – lucywigley@googlemail.com

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
Continued developments in the Covid-19 vaccine and expectations that OPEC+ will roll over the current cuts for a further three months from January 2021, have pushed Brent Crude past $48 a barrel this week, up $10 from a month ago. Delivery times are currently between 7 and 10 working days.
Have you checked your oil levels? With Christmas only 4 weeks away and oil prices now rising, we recommend doing a visual check of your oil tank. Prices in December are often much higher than normal due to increased demand for deliveries before Christmas. If you are already very low or have run out though, this group order will not be suitable.

With the news today we are going in tier 3 I’m really keen to try and create just a little bit of Christmas magic in Parwich. I’m hoping to create an elf trail around the village but I need your help! My plan is to create a map and it will show where the elves are hiding in the village. Ideally I would love some households in Parwich to draw and hide an elf in their garden or window displaying a letter, which when all put together spell out a Christmas word. The maps could be collected from the shop and then returned with the answer to claim a little treat.
If you would be interested in drawing, printing or creating an elf please let me know and I can start planning the route and let you know what letter you will be.
Thanks a million in advance – Lucy M lucywigley@googlemail.com, 390737 or Facebook messenger me

Update for Bradbourne & Parwich Heating Oil Club
There has been little change in oil prices over the past few weeks. With low demand being offset by production cuts by OPEC+ members, Brent Crude remains between $42 and $43. However, suppliers are seeing an increase in demand as the weather turns colder. Delivery times are currently between 7 and 10 working days.
Tip: With the weather turning wetter and more rainfall on its way, it might be a good idea to ensure no water has made its way into your tank, as if sucked up into your system it can cause real issues. Water Scavengers are dropped into your tank to absorb any water sat at the bottom of your tank.
You can find a selection of different sized Water Scavengers in our Club Store, as well as Water Test Kits if you wish to check your tank for water first.

Hopefully some of you have seen this and we are keen to do it in Parwich. The aim is to display Halloween items in your windows / around your gardens so we can do a hunt around the village. Once you have spotted one the child (or yourself!) is rewarded with a treat (that you have taken along with you) and then you go onto find the next one. We were thinking of having them on display from the Thursday – Sunday.
In addition to this David and Christine Goldstraw from Church Walk have very kindly agreed to open up their spooktacular garden on Halloween for the children to walk around and look at their display (arrows will mark which way to walk). Christine is happy to answer any questions people may have.
I look forward to seeing your ghostly creations. Lucy M
