Surely there is some mistake – I see no reference (again) to supreme athlete Roberto Buntingo! There seems to be some P. Mannion person occupying top spot with an impressive time of 18′ 28, but what of our Roberto?
There is, however, a typo at the bottom of the list – some lookie -likie hopeful who hasn’t even managed to comprehend the latin influence which is so critical to our Roberto’s athletic prowess – 72nd place in 44′ 19.
Be warned – Roberto will not be pleased with pale immitations!!!!
There’s a buzz going round all the best sports gossip columns. Rumour has it that Roberto is so disgusted with his lack of recognition that he has given up running in favour of cycling. We’re awaiting news……
I think I might have spotted him in today’s third stage of the “Tour de France”, although it was a bit of a blur, I feel sure there was the unmistakable Roberto all black strip….. vive la Buntingo!
