Welcome and thank you!
Welcome back to a new term and a new year.
Felicity and I would like to thank you and the children for the lovely Christmas presents we received.
A special welcome to Maisy H who has joined us on Thursdays.
Curriculum News
We are continuing a little longer with ‘Special Times’ so that we can include birthday celebrations as we have some birthdays coming up. We have talked about New Year and introduced the children to other countries of the world, in particular China. It is important for them to realize the diversity of people and customs in the world so if you have any multi-cultural bits and pieces we could play with or just look at, please send them in. That would be great.
We then propose to do a topic on toys, always a popular theme! More details on this soon.
‘Next Steps’
This term we are trialling a different system for this, based more closely on our daily observations of the children and their interests. It therefore builds up more gradually in a series of smaller steps. Again, more details soon.
Achievement Folders
Please do have a look at your child’s folder when you bring him/her or take it home overnight to look at. As before, we welcome your observations written in as well, if you would like to do this.
Questionaire
