Nice effort. The monochrome approach was a good choice for the flat light conditions early today. Plenty in your compositions to give your images depth, but without the light to give the snow some texture they don’t have the impact of some of the earlier posted snow pics.
It was a case of get what you can. Flat light YES, but by 10.00am the snow was falling off the trees – no time to wait for the sun. The monochrome effect was as a result of the light, pix were taken in colour.

I know the subject is naturally dominantly monochrome, but I would have expected to see a hint of colour on the bark of the larger trees – unless it was deliberately desaturated.

No alteration to the pix, just as they came. There is a little colour in No.3 under the trees.
Shots were taken facing towards the light ie.from the northern side of the subjects.
