Mother and calf are doing extremely well. It’s lovely to think that now there will be two beautiful cows on Creamery Lane. The only problem is the name, it has to begin with P and have a floral connection.

And she’s called…….
It’s a girl!

Peppermint, Pansy, Parsley, Peach, Pearl (as in Pearlbush), Penny (as in Penny Royal), Periwinkle, Petunia, Pickle (as in Pickle Plant), Poly (short for Polyanthus, Pussy….. I’ll leave it there.
Thank you Jane. My son has just suggested Pesticide!
Congratulations to Poppy and Fiona!
I rather like Petal or Petunia, I’ll pass on Pesticide.
Poppy and Petunia sounds good together, or Poppy and Pansy…
She’s not going to go short of milk by the looks of things!
What about Petal?
You could go off the flower theme, and call it Parwich!
Pasturised?!
Maybe we could change the banner photo to include the gorgeous new addition?….Poppy somehow looks like she is missing something!
Pansy or Petal.
i think it will be good to call it primrose
Thank you for all your suggestions. Poppy is an old girl (10) and has had 4 daughters (Polly, Posy, Primrose and Peony) and 2 granddaughters (Petal and Pansy). So some of the lovely names which have been suggested have already been used. I have a couple of names I am considering but any further ideas are more than welcome. The calf is happy to have visitors if anyone would like to have a closer look!
Peri – short for Periwinkle?
I shall have to decide by Thursday morning as Sandra is having a quess the name of the calf competition as part of her Big Coffee Morning!
Last suggestion honest!! Either a brainwave or totally ridiculous – how about Posie – a small bunch of flowers often given as gift.
