I was really saddened to hear of the death of Ray Williams, he was a great teacher and gave a huge amount to Parwich school and the pupils he taught.
I was sorry to hear of Mr Williams passing. He made a great difference to the lives of all the boys and girls who attended Parwich school. A fine, decent and well respected teacher and gentleman.
I learned with great sadness of Ray Williams’ passing. Ray was dedicated to the teaching and learning in Parwich School and totally committed to making learning interesting and exciting for the children. My daughter. Kirsty, emailed from Australia on learning the sad news: “ …… a good teacher and I have fond memories of my time with him…..”
I used to volunteer at school, and learned quite a few math tricks from listening to Ray’s lessons that help me to this day!
Ray was very supportive of the Local History Society when it was set up; he involved the Society in a number of School projects and also led The School’s contribution to a number of Society events including the 2000 exhibition in the village.
