Weather

Road to Ashbourne clear at 7.30am this morning.
08.05 – No road problems reported around Buxton, according to http://www.buxtonweather.co.uk/
I am going to biggin tomorrow. I only have 2wd has anyone any experience of road conditions. I usually use dales rd. Thanks.
Gill – I have only used the Dale Road into the village this week, prefering to go out on the Alsop road since some of the hills have compacted ice (like around Townhead). My car is useless on anything icy going uphill so I wont chance it. If you have rear wheel drive with a poky engine and fat tyres I wouldn’t go out on the Dale Road but the Alsop road is fine.
Thanks graham. I used the alsop road which was fine. My car has huge fat tyres and so is quite useless in snow. Maybe I should invest in 4wd.
Just to let you know that the road to Ashbourne are not good – even the A515 from the Bentley Brook (as at 8am)
Found when surfing around: this rather beautiful Instagram photo of Parwich in the snow:
